The originals had design flaws which caused them to leak frequently. Charlie was not intimidated by the difficulty and complexity of the project. He worked in a painstaking manner to show us what was possible and modified the designs as needed. His patience and his vision never waned. He carefully rendered drawings numerous times in different ways until we could see how the modifications could be accomplished. The roof line had many limitations but he explored our thoughts and truthfully told us what could be done and why. He followed through by meeting with roofers, always made sure they understood which direction to take to make meaningful improvements to what existed. I called on him frequently to verify what the contractors would tell me. My best interest was his primary concern and I could speak with him confidentially as bids came in.
